Jan is an expert in commercial, technology and data privacy law, bringing deep in-house experience from major global technology companies to Cambitas’s advisory practice.
Jan was previously Assistant General Counsel at FIS, one of the world’s largest financial technology companies, where she gained extensive experience in software licensing across SaaS and enterprise models, market data distribution, procurement processes, public cloud infrastructure and the insurance software market. That institutional technology perspective complements Cambitas’s regulatory advisory, ensuring that our advice on technology, data and commercial matters reflects how technology businesses actually operate.
Jan has an extensive data protection practice, advising start-ups and early-stage technology businesses on GDPR compliance, data audits, privacy frameworks, e-marketing regulation, data retention and the treatment of employee data. She also has recent experience as a fractional General Counsel for a growing IT consultancy, where she restructured commercial arrangements, ran a fundraising round and brokered strategic partnerships.
Jan also advises on corporate matters, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements and fundraisings.
